Panda is not intended for children. Anyone under the age of 13 is not permitted to access or use Panda and must not attempt to register an account or submit any personal information to us.
Please keep in mind that when you communicate and/or share content with other Panda users any content that is shared may be stored, copied or shared outside of Panda by such users and/or any other parties. Do not send or share any information which you would not want someone other than yourself to save or share.
What Information Does Panda Collect?

Information You Provide Us
When you interact with Panda, we may collect and store information you provide us directly as described below:
In order to set up a Panda account, we will need to collect the following:
Device contacts/phonebook: With your consent, we will collect information from your device's phonebook in order to allow you to communicate directly with your friends and contacts.
With your consent, we will ask you to provide your phone number so that we can verify your account.
TrueDepth Camera Data
Our users using a device equipped with a TrueDepth camera system can rest easy as we do not ever store or share any data that is produced by the system. TrueDepth is only used to better map our effects to your face and facial features. This data is never stored on device, on a server, or ever shared with third parties.
Customer Support Correspondence
When you ask for assistance from the Panda support team, we may collect and store information about your Panda activity, your mobile number or email or other contact information that you provide. We will also store the correspondence and any information contained therein.
Other Information You Provide To make you visible on Panda, you may provide us with a profile picture or other identifying information.
Information We Collect from Your Use of Panda
When you use Panda, we will collect informatio such as who you contacted, how many communications you sent and the times you used Panda as more particularly described below:
Camera and Microphone
Panda is dependent upon access to your device's camera and microphone. Upon initial set up, we will ask you to accept access to your device's microphone and camera, so that you can upload photos, add voice elements as well as contact and communicate with other users.
Calls and Messages
We enable our users to call each other through Panda's App or through a web-based browser. As a byproduct of this functionality, we receive some information regarding your communications, including, recipient, date and time of the call and duration of the call.
Usage and Technical Information and Automated Collection
We collect information about how you interact with Panda. We may collect (i) certain technical information about your mobile device or computer system, including MAC Address, IP Address and mobile device ID; and (ii) other usage statistics about your interactions with Panda including, but not limited to, preferences expressed, settings chosen, filters used and communications viewed. This information is typically collected through the use of server log files or web log files (“Log Files”), mobile device software development kits and tracking technologies like browser cookies.
We may collect certain technical information in order to (i) analyze the usage of our applications, sites and services; (ii) provide a more personalized experience; and (iii) manage advertising. We and service providers acting on our behalf use Log Files and tracking technologies to collect and analyze certain types of technical information, including cookies, IP addresses, device type, device identifiers, browser types, browser language, referring and exit pages, URLs, platform type, the number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of activity on Panda, and other similar information.
SMS Notifications, Push Notifications & Local Notifications
We offer you the ability to sign up for SMS notifications sent directly to your mobile phone to allow you to be notified when you have received an incoming communication from another user. We may also send push notifications to your device to provide updates and other relevant messages. You can manage push notifications from the settings page in the App.

Third Party Contacts
If another Panda user provides us with permission to access their device's phonebook, and your contact information is in their phonebook, we may combine that information with other information we have obtained about you either directly or from other parties.
How Does Panda Use Information It Collects?

Third Party Service Providers
We may provide your information to third party companies to perform services on our behalf, including data analysis, e-mail delivery, hosting services, customer service and to assist us in our marketing efforts. We direct such third-party service providers to maintain the confidentiality of the information disclosed to them and to not use your information for any purpose other than to provide specific services on Panda's behalf.
Third party site, platform or service operators, such as Amazon, Apple, Facebook or Google, may collect, or require that we provide your information. Any information made available to such third parties will be used by them in accordance with their own privacy policies. You may be required to consent to, and be fully bound by, those third-party privacy policies in order to access, purchase or otherwise use Panda in connection with those third parties' sites, platforms or services. We cannot control, and will not be responsible for, the content of those third-party privacy policies. We therefore advise you to carefully review their terms before accepting them.
Advertising of Third Party Products and Services
Safety, Security and Compliance with Law
Your information, including, but not limited to who you have contacted via Panda, may be accessed and monitored as necessary and may be disclosed: (i) when we have a good faith belief that we are required to disclose the information in response to legal process (for example, a court order, search warrant or subpoena); (ii) to satisfy any applicable laws or regulations (iii) where we believe that Panda is being used in the commission of a crime, including to report such criminal activity or to exchange information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction; (iv) when we have a good faith belief that there is an emergency that poses a threat to the health and/or safety of you, another person or the public generally; and (v) in order to protect the rights or property of Panda, including to enforce Panda's Terms and Conditions.

How Do I Access or Update My Information?
If you no longer want Panda to make active use of your information, you may send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Place "Delete My Account" in the subject line and include your first name, last name, and phone number in the body of the e-mail. Please note that certain records will be retained for legal and accounting purposes. Any information shared with a TPS or SNS may be retained by those third parties after we delete it from our records. Please consult the privacy policies of those TPS or SNS to learn about their removal procedures.
How Can I Change How Panda Interacts with Me?
Opting out of Communications If we send you email, you may choose to opt out of receiving promotional e-mails by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in any such e-mail. Please note that once we receive your request, it may take an additional period of time for your opt-out to become effective.
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages by texting STOP to the number we send from for that particular SMS program. When we receive an opt-out message from you for SMS messages, we may send a message confirming our receipt of your opt-out.
Note that if you opt-out of our promotional communications, we may still e-mail or communicate with you from time to time if we need to provide you with information or if we need to request information from you with respect to a transaction initiated by you or for other legitimate non-marketing reasons.
What About Third-Party Services and Sites?
Further, Panda may allow advertisements from companies that may link to their own websites. Panda is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. If you have any questions about how these other websites use your information, you should review their policies and contact them directly.
How Does Panda Protect Information that it Collects?
We have implemented reasonable security measures to protect the security of your information, and we are committed to the protection of our user's information. While we take reasonable precautions against possible security breaches, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. It is important that you protect and maintain the security of your Panda account and that you immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure. Although we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data while it is being transmitted to our servers; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we have procedures and security features in place to try to prevent unauthorized access.
Panda's Policy Concerning Children
Panda is not intended for children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from such children.
We store any information collected from Panda on servers located in the United States. By using Panda, you agree to the transfer of, the storing of and the processing of information in the United States.
California Do Not Track
California law gives its residents the right to request information regarding the types of consumer personal information that Panda's website collects and shares with third parties for direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident, you may make a request to us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org Please include “My California Privacy Rights” in the subject line of your email and allow 30 days for us to respond. Because there is no accepted standard on how to respond to Do Not Track signals, we do not respond to such signals.
